Talking Blocks Speech Therapy is a mobile speech pathology service dedicated to supporting children’s speech, language and literacy development through evidence-based and engaging therapy.

The Speech Sound Read (SSR) Program is an initiative by Talking Blocks to support both speech and literacy development.
SSR is a structured, evidence-based program designed to support children in developing accurate speech sounds while simultaneously building the phonological awareness skills needed for reading and spelling.
The program focuses on helping children accurately produce speech sounds and understand the relationship between sounds and letters. By strengthening this connection, children develop stronger foundations for both clear speech and early literacy.
Talking Blocks integrates the SSR program within school settings to support students in Early Stage 1 and Stage 1. Sessions are designed to align with classroom learning and support children who may be experiencing challenges with speech sound development and early literacy skills. Collaboration with teachers and schools allows therapy to complement classroom instruction, helping children build the foundational skills needed for both communication and academic success.
We are a mobile speech pathology practice and do not operate from a fixed clinic location.
